1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using StarCy ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
StarCy is an AI-powered mobile assistant that integrates with your calendar, email, and other services to provide intelligent notifications, meeting preparation, and business insights through the Dynamic Island feature on iOS devices.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) to use StarCy
You must provide accurate and complete registration information
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
4. User Account
You are responsible for all activities under your account
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
One account per user; no account sharing
5. Subscription and Payment
StarCy offers subscription-based access to premium features
Subscriptions are billed through Apple In-App Purchase or other payment providers
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
Refunds are handled according to Apple's App Store policies or our refund policy
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice
No refunds for partial subscription periods
Third-Party Integrations
You grant StarCy permission to access connected services (Gmail, Google Calendar, Stripe, etc.)
You are responsible for maintaining valid credentials for third-party services
We are not responsible for third-party service interruptions or changes
You can disconnect integrations at any time through App settings
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the App for illegal purposes or to violate any laws
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
Use the App to send spam or unsolicited communications
Collect or harvest user data without consent
Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
8. Intellectual Property
StarCy and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by StarCy, Inc.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App
You retain ownership of your data and content
You grant us a license to use your data to provide and improve the service
Feedback or suggestions you provide may be used without compensation
9. AI and Voice Data
Voice recordings are processed by third-party AI services (Vapi, OpenAI)
We use AI to analyze your data and provide personalized assistance
You consent to AI processing of your voice, email, and calendar data
You can request deletion of AI-processed data at any time
We do not use your data to train third-party AI models without consent
10. Data Privacy
Your use of StarCy is also governed by our Privacy Policy
We collect and process data as described in the Privacy Policy
You consent to data processing necessary to provide the service
You can manage your privacy settings in the App
11. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind:
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
We are not responsible for data loss or corruption
AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
We do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party data (calendar, email, revenue)
Meeting reminders and notifications are provided as a convenience; you are responsible for managing your schedule
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
StarCy, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
We are not liable for third-party service failures or data breaches
We are not liable for missed meetings, emails, or business opportunities
Some jurisdictions do not allow liability limitations; these may not apply to you
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StarCy, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Your data or content
14. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time through App settings
We may suspend or terminate your account for Terms violations
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately
We may retain certain data as required by law or our Privacy Policy
Subscription fees are non-refundable upon termination
15. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time
Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
If you disagree with changes, you must stop using the App
16. Geographic Restrictions
The App is intended for users worldwide but may not be available in all countries
You are responsible for compliance with local laws
Some features may be restricted based on your location
17. Miscellaneous
Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor.
Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and StarCy.
Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control.
